Earlier this week a national coalition of more than 80 organizations announced an upcoming conference entitled "Good Jobs, Green Jobs: A National Green Jobs Conference." This conference will take place on March 13-14 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is being coordinated by the Blue-Green Alliance, a partnership of the United Steelworkers and the Sierra Club.
This event will provide a forum to share ideas and strategies for advancing a national green jobs movement -- one that can address environmental issues and create robust economic opportunity. There will be participation from a diverse range of sectors including labor, business, government, investment, the environment, public health, workforce development, and science & technology.
