San Diego Green Jobs and Career Workshop to Take Place on April 21

On April 21st a San Diego Green Jobs and Career Workshop will take place.  This event is part of San Diego Earth Week and will provide job seekers with an opportunity to network with employers, discover educational resources, and learn about emerging business opportunities.  Presenters at this program will include:

  • Wendy Evers (San Diego State College of Extended Studies, Senior Director of Program Development) will give a presentation entitled "Green Jobs are the Wave of the Future" which will highlight how to translate your current skills into the new Green sector quickly and easily.
  • Paul Hannam (Founder, Bright Green Talent), will give a "Green Leadership in the Workplace" presentation and talk about emerging careers in the Green industry and what his company is doing.
  • Philip Gordon (Director, Center of Excellence, San Diego-Imperial Region, Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District) is rolling out regional renewable job report and course offerings through local community colleges.
  • Glenn Croston (Author of 75 Green Businesses You Can Start To Make Money and Make a Difference) will share innovative business opportunites that are waiting for individuals to fill a niche.

This program will take place from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the City of San Diego Environmental Services Ridgehaven Building, 9601 Ridgehaven Court, San Diego, CA 92123.  Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 onsite.
